This thing is deffinetely sturdy and gives off the feel of being ready to deploy. My only issue is that it fits loose on my buffer tube, I may have to replace my tube. I would rather replace the tube than by another stock, I'm a big fan. Mako did a great job on this one.

As stated, the spring on this thing is plenty strong, so be prepared for that. Outside of that its very well built and really balances out a front-heavy carbine. Extremely easy to use for an emergency reload, when funds allow my fiance wants one for her rifle!

Just received my GL Mag...This thing is VERY cool!! just as advertised. There's comments about how hard it is to fit on the tube= True! I think due to the strong spring.
I set the butt on the floor, set the tube, pulled the pin (pull hard), sliped right in.
This thing is unreal.... If you have the means, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!! Well done MAKO!!!!!

I really like the idea of a mag in the stock and wondered why nobody made one. Found this on accident and had to buy it. Its a pretty solid stock and all the mag types i have snapped in easily and securely.
Its a pain to put on a buffer tube though, but once you get your cursing and wtf?! questions out of the way its a great stock.

Best AR Add-On Yet! January 26, 2013

I just got this stock in and couldn't wait to test it out. The butt of the stock has better tread than my old pickup, so I am certain it will not slide around during rapid fires.  I immediately tried every magazine I own to see how it looks, fits, and functions.  The 10 round magazine supplied with it fits with a very small profile.  You would almost not notice it.    20 rounders fit and feel alright, 30 rounders fit, but feel and look a bit out of place.  The magazine release is exceptionally easy to get to. I found that magazine changes went fairly smooth after a little bit of practice.  The stock fits snugly onto the mil spec tube, so it does not rattle like a standard M4 style tends to.  The trade off of course is that it does not move freely like the old M4 style stock.  But that doesn't bother me in the least.  I prefer something more stable.  I would give this product 6 stars, but sadly I am limited to 5.  Great job once again Mako Group!
